Environmental Education at Prairie Woods

Nothing is more important than learning to live well. . . with ourselves, with each other, and with our environment.

 

Environmental education is. . .

Essential! We cannot live without the natural systems that sustain us. Understanding nature is vital to maintaining quality of life in a changing world.

Everywhere! "Environment" is not just in the woods and prairies, though we love to learn about those here. "Environment" is your home, your street, the food you eat and the air you breathe.

Exciting! What do students love more that getting outside? Environmental education is, when all is said and done. . . FUN!

We provide high-quality, interdisciplinary activities to teach students of all ages about their relationship with nature.
